Four Michigan football players atop position group in latest 2025 Mel Kiper big board

Michigan football is finding its way on the field, in large part due to an offense that is switching up quarterback midstream, but the Wolverines aren't struggling from an overall lack of talent.

Especially on the defensive side of the ball, but also on offense as well as in special teams, the maize and blue have a lot going for them, at least in the eyes of ESPN's resident NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr.

Kiper released his updated 'big board' (subscription required) with his top 25 players who are tops of his NFL draft board, and four players made into the top 25. What's more, four of the players (three of the aforementioned) were atop his overall position group rankings.

Notable is that Grant was the second-rated defensive tackle, behind only his teammate, Mason Graham. Kalel Mullings was included as a fullback/H-back, even though he's fully a running back. Josaiah Stewart was listed as an outside linebacker instead of an edge rusher, as well.

It wouldn't be surprising to see edge rusher Derrick Moore or either of the offensive guards climb their way into the rankings once everything is said and done.
