"This feels great," said an emotional Alvin Gaston, a Durfee junior star after the Hilltoppers' victory over the Whalers in the 132nd edition of the Thanksgiving Day matchup. "It's been two years. Coach Brown tells us all the time, the 2-8 season does not matter. It's today."

In February this year, Fall River counted 140 people living on the streets -- and it may not be possible to find beds for all of them before the winter arrives.
In September, the City Council passed an ordinance banning "unauthorized camping on public property," essentially outlawing homeless encampments with the potential to fine people for living outdoors. Homeless camps are still around, however.
