GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Blood Connection is asking for donors in North and South Carolina as Helene has rendered their blood products low.
The Blood Connection announced that several of their centers are without power and water and many of their bloodmobiles are grounded.
The organization reports it is in need of more platelet and blood donors in order to adequately sustain local hospitals.
Operating donation centers will have extended hours this week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the organization said.
