Browns Elijah Moore's Week 8 success came from great separation on routes

Prior to the start of this season, there was a thought that Moore could have a breakout season, particularly being used as an outside receiver.

Instead, with Watson at the helm, Moore was one of a few veterans who could have been released without anyone noticing. In the first six games of 2024, Moore had 16 receptions for 95 yards.

In the last two games, Moore had 14 receptions for 126 yards. In Week 8, Moore had an impressive amount of separation on his routes, according to Pro Football Focus:

Tillman had a 68.75% rate on 16 routes and Jerry Jeudy was at 60% on 15 opportunities.

Moore now leads the Browns for the season with good separation on 63.38% of his routes despite limited production to start the year. Both Jeudy and Tillman rank above Cleveland's former top receiver, Amari Cooper, who has a separation rate of 57.43% for the season between his two teams.
