Stardock today released DesktopGPT 1.0, its new AI app for the Windows desktop. DesktopGPT integrates with multiple large language models (LLMs) and is available exclusively as part of the company's Object Desktop suite of apps.

DesktopGPT integrates with OpenAI GPT-4o Mini, GPT-4 Turbo, and other LLMs, and it is summoned with a quick keyboard shortcut. But templates may be the marquee feature here: These act like prompt-based shortcuts of their own and they can be used for tasks like language translation, writing help, and more. You can access a library of templates, customize them for your needs, and create your own from scratch. And each can be assigned to the optimal LLM so that they are as efficient and accurate as possible.
