A car crash in Wood Village late Tuesday night killed one person, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies responded around 11:20 p.m. to a report of a crash in the 1000 block of Northeast 238th Drive where they found a Volkswagen Jetta had flipped and ejected its driver, the sole occupant.
Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene, according to the East County Vehicular Crimes Team.
Investigators said they believed the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the press release. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner's office will determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
Authorities have not released the driver's name. The investigation is ongoing.
