Marseille are among the clubs interested in a loan move for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
Any move would see Ferguson -- who has not played for Brighton since a draw at West Ham United on December 21 -- leave the south coast club for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Marseille are currently second in Ligue 1, 10 points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, and coached by Roberto De Zerbi, who spent 21 months as Brighton's head coach prior to joining the French club last summer.
Of Ferguson's 17 goals for Brighton, 15 of them came in 60 appearances under De Zerbi's coaching.
The Athletic reported in November that Brighton were expected to make the 20-year-old available for loan during the winter transfer window, while the DealSheet on January 28 cited interest from West Ham United, Everton and Bournemouth, alongside other Premier League clubs.
Speaking in January, head coach Fabian Hurzeler said any decision over Ferguson's future would be made with "what is best for the player" in mind.
Ferguson began the 2023-24 season with six goals in 12 league matches, including a hat-trick against Newcastle United, but his campaign was curtailed in April by an ankle injury that ruled him out for the next six months.
Since returning from injury, the Republic of Ireland international has been mainly limited to substitute appearances this campaign, with the likes of Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro, and Georginio Rutter regularly selected ahead of him.
His only only goal this campaign came during a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on October 26.
Ferguson signed a new contract in November 2023 which runs until 2029.
Another ankle injury has kept the striker out of action for the last six matches.
Elye Wahi has been Marseille's central striker this season, while former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood is among their attacking options.
