Cedar Crest saw itself in a battle against Hempfield, and a huge performance from sophomore rusher Isaiah Zimmerman helped in the comeback win. The Falcons made sure to give Zimmerman over 20 touches on offense, and he took full advantage to continue his success. After 19 carries and two receptions from the backfield, Zimmerman finished with 210 rushing yards, 70 yards by air and three total touchdowns.
After seeing Zimmerman eclipse 1,000 yards earlier this season, Cedar Crest made it clear the offense will still roll through the ground game. Before the group's playoff run, it's promising to have their leading scorer going strong.
The Vikings' sophomore has been one of their best playmakers all year, and he led on both sides in Week 9. After scoring twice in a win over Daniel Boone, Ryan has earned four touchdowns over his campaign, which leads the team.
His first score came on a 81-yard kick return to give his squad the lead, and Ryan kept firing. After taking a screen for 49 yards, Northern Lebanon's sophomore connected with his quarterback on a 15-yard touchdown to continue moving the scoreboard. Defensively, Ryan added five tackles while roaming as a safety, and he's become a highlight reel in most weeks.
Rosado continues to put up touchdowns, and Week 9 saw him mark seven consecutive games with a score. ELCO's senior quarterback dominated Donegal's defense on the ground Friday night, which concluded with Rosado hitting the end zone three times. The Raiders' backfield tallied all of the offense's touchdowns, and Rosado's legs led the triple-option threat with consistency. ELCO's last game has playoff implications, so their quarterback will be at the center of attention once again in Week 10.
Northern Lebanon saw a new starter at quarterback in Week 9, and Burdick's performance puts him on this list. After a quiet first half of scoring led by two special teams' touchdowns, the freshman passer's arm got going for a pair of scores in his first start.
Burdick tossed a score to senior runner Myles Watson, and followed it up with a few more big plays. He connected on a screen that went for 49 yards, before a perfectly thrown strike over the middle landed for a touchdown to put the Vikings up 29-7 in his debut start.
The Dutchmen have seen big games from their senior rusher all season, and his most recent game put him beyond 1,000 rushing yards. Against Schuylkill Valley, Shay put up two total touchdowns along with 85 yards on the ground, pushing him to 1,001 rushing yards this year while managing five games with 100+ yards. Annville-Cleona's senior has shown the toughness to play every down, and so his impact has been felt in every way possible.
