The Indianapolis Colts enter Week 11 with a 4-6 record and trending in the wrong direction. The Colts have lost three in a row to fall on the wrong side of .500 and take a huge hit to any playoff hopes.
Veteran Joe Flacco has started at quarterback the past two games after the Colts decided to bench Anthony Richardson. In Week 10, Flacco threw a pair of touchdowns with three interceptions in the 30-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Despite his poor play, head coach Shane Steichen insisted he was staying with Flacco as the team's starter.
"You stick with it, you grind through the process of this whole thing," Steichen said. "It really is a process, and we're going through that right now, and Joe's (Flacco) the starter."
Before that, Steichen uttered a similar statement before the game against the Minnesota Vikings, saying Flacco would be the starter "going forward."
However, Steichen has reversed course and revealed on Wednesday that Richardson would be the starter for Week 11 against the New York Jets, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.

It is a change of heart for Steichen, who now reveals Richardson will be the starter for the rest of the season.
Before being benched, the young signal-caller threw for 958 yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 242 yards and a score.
Steichen mentions that Richardson has made "strides" recently, per Holder.
"What I mean is the attention to detail just needs to be higher," Steichen said. "And over the last 2 week,s he's made strides in those areas."
The Colts face Aaron Rodgers and the Jets in Week 11 before taking on the Detroit Lions to end November. Nonetheless, the debate between Flacco and Richardson appears to be over for the time being.
