The G150 was an upscaled version of the G100, with a longer and wider cabin, an improved nose structure, and more powerful engines. Two Honeywell TFE731-40-R-200G turbofan engines powered the G150, each generating nearly 20 kN (4,500 lbf) of takeoff thrust. The manufacturer delivered a total of 265 G100/G150s, of which 145 were Astra/G100 and 120 were G150s. With the final G150 out of production in 2016, the manufacturer ceased production of the type.

The Gulfstream G200, initially known as the IAI Galaxy, was produced for Gulfstream Aerospace by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in the late 1990s. The twin-engine jet's design began in the mid-1980s with the Soviet aircraft design bureau Yakovlev OKB. While the Russian company was responsible for the design and manufacturing of the forward fuselage and empennage, it did not meet production schedules, resulting in the suspension of the partnership in 1995.
