Fire officials release update on cause of downtown Clinton fire

CLINTON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Clinton Fire Department provided an update six months after flames destroyed some businesses in downtown Clinton.

On Tuesday, August 27, fire officials were called after the iconic House of Pizza went up in flames.

The restaurant along with three other businesses--Dr. Thomas Macmillan's optometry, Kingdom hall and Aspen & Figs--were affected by the fire.

Clinton Fire Chief Jeremy Marshall said sufficient evidence was not found by the insurance company following an investigation. This led to the incident cause as undetermined.
