Davie County sheriff's deputies are searching for three men and a woman after Mooresville police officers chased them into northern Davie County, authorities said.
The suspects were accused of breaking into vehicles and stealing items in Mooresville, Sheriff J.D. Hartman of Davie County told the Journal.
Deputies are searching the area around Woodward Road and Interstate 40, near Mocksville.
Mooresville police chased the suspects from Mooresville through Iredell County and into Davie County, Hartman said.
The suspects then got out of their vehicle on Woodward Road and ran from the officers.
Deputies are using dogs to search for the suspects, who authorities believe may be dangerous.
The sheriff's office urged Davie residents to call 911 if they see suspicious people walking in the area.
