In our digital world, actual film has become more of a rarity, whether it's for taking pictures, or, well, moving pictures! From the little camera screen, to movies and the silver screen, it's mostly digital these days.
Hone your picture-taking skills, and go analog, as the library's experimental film photography workshop series kicks off.
Beginning on Thursday, Feb. 13, the series will be held in free, monthly workshops.
Participants will receive 35mm color film, photo development, and photo scans each month of this program.
Plus, there will be experimental prompts, as well as the chance to meet other photographers and get peer feedback.
Hikes, crafts, books: Learn a new hobby at these SouthCoast spots
And it will all culminate in a night gallery, where participants can show off what they've accomplished during the photography series.
Spots are limited, so if you want to join in, register by sending an email to FDesmarais@sailsinc.org, or calling 508-324-2700, Ext. 3282.
This program is funded in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
