Greater Lawrence 7, Innovation Academy 2
The Reggies knocked off another opponent to improve to 11-0. Thomas Kotas erupted for four goals, giving him 15 on the season. Anthony Rubim added two, giving him 11, while, Jaden Woolridge had the other goal.
Picking up single assists were Rubim, Jimmy Bano, Kotas, Michael De Leon, Edison Tecun and Eddin Macario.
Greater Lawrence needs one more league win to take the CAC Championship title.
Andover 4, Central Catholic 3
Andover (3-7-2) snapped a six-game winless streak with a back-and-forth wild, 4-3, win over rival Central Catholic. Alex Morgan scored two goals, while, Zain Shah and Noah Messina had one each. Joe Cardillo made eight saves in net.
Methuen 0, Billerica 0
Two of the stronger teams in the MVC went head-to-head and neither team would budge defensively. The Rangers (6-3-1) had a great chance in the first half but missed on a penalty kick. Goalie Dylan Gavin made 14 saves to record his seventh shutout of the season and sixth in a row.
North Andover 1, Chelmsford 1
Aiden Siwiki scored his first goal of the season, and goalie James Yonchak made four saves as the Scarlet Knights ran their unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2), while pushing their overall record to 7-3-2.
Tewksbury 5, Lawrence 3
Carlos Delima, Antony Lopes and Jacob Calle each had one goal, while, Joao Ricci had an assist for the Lancers. Goalie Jared Martinez made three saves.
Exeter 2, Windham 1
Andrew Begley scored the lone goal -- and the first in his career -- on an assist from Noah Bustamante as the Jaguars (5-5-2) were defeated by an unbeaten Exeter team. Goalie Matt Moseley had a strong game making seven saves.
Salem 1, Portsmouth 1
Salem (5-5-2) took a 1-0 halftime lead on a goal from Marcelinho Fils on a set-up by Kingston Freitas. Portsmouth tied it in the second half with 25 minutes left, and after that Blue Devils' goalie Elias Mercedes kept it that way with a number of big saves, and 21 in all.
Pinkerton 1, Merrimack 1
Andrew Perfetto scored the lone goal for the Astros (5-3-3) in the 35' on a set-up from Denver Sherwood. Goalie Rolston Ladd made five saves in net.
Besides the goal scorers, playing well were Miles Shea, Aiden Breault, Braeden Wheeler, TJ Paquin and Ethan Fonseca.
Golf
Central Catholic 18, Lowell 2
The Raiders dominated this match, which improved the team's record to 13-1 as well as clinched the MVC Division 1 league championship title.
At the par-36, Mount Pleasant Golf Club course, Harry Garland was once again the top performer as he shot a 3-under par, 33 with four birdies, while winning his match 5&3.
The other Central winners were Alex Barnard (3&2), Liam Vena (3&2, 35), Jake Morowski (2&1), Domenic Santo, Finn Rourke and Keegan Hunt (5&3).
North Andover 11.5, Andover 8.5
The Scarlet Knights (7-5-1) not only came away with the win over their MVC rivals, but qualified for the Division 1 North Sectionals.
Played at the NACC, Tyler Fawaz was the low medalist with a 35. He won his match along with teammates Callie Diaz and Cole Mullen.
Billerica 10.5, Haverhill 9.5
Played at the par-35 Bradford CC, the Indians just barely edged out the Hillies (4-9).
Haverhill winners were Tommy Murphy (4&2), Jack Baker (1up), Max Boyer (2&1) and Jake Staples (2&1).
Murphy was the match medalist with a 36 and Boyer shot a 37.
Windham 195, Londonderry 196, Bishop Guertin 200
Windham won both matches in the tri-meet.
Girls Soccer
Pinkerton 5, Merrimack 0
Five different players found the back of the net to lead the Astros (6-3-2) to the NH Division I victory. Nora Brayall, Courtney Russell, Audrey Earehart, Cali Lockwood and Verity Ungaro all had one goal each, while picking up assists were Riley McClellan (2), Earehart, Cara Mahn and Ungaro.
Goalie Sydney Mlynarski made one save for the shutout.
Salem 1, Portsmouth 0
Amelia Murray was the only player to find the back of the net with a set-up from Presley Marinelli as the Blue Devils emerged with the win. Goalie Lindsay Goetz made five saves to record her sixth shutout.
Exeter 2, Windham 1
Windham's Vanessa Deveau notched her second goal of the season, while keeper Ava Runde made eight saves.
Tewksbury 6, Lawrence 0
The Lancers used all 13 players who continue to show tremendous grit and determination. Goalie Mitchell Castro made 15 saves and also faced two penalty kicks.
Haverhill 3, Methuen 2
The Hillies (6-2-2) continued their hot streak with a huge MVC win over the Rangers. Aleigh Gonzalez scored twice, while Makaylla Cederman added a goal and an assist. Kaitlin Brownrigg and Sierra Jepson added single assists, while, goalie Fran Purdy made nine saves.
For Methuen (8-3-1), Kiera Fitzpatrick and Courtnee Pickles had the goals, and Kate Fitzpatrick had one helper. Goalkeeper Bella Medeiros made 15 saves.
Central Catholic 1, Andover 0
The Raiders slipped past the Golden Warriors behind a goal from Lucy Irwin, with the assist going to Sarah Tressler. Sarah Parker picked up the shutout making four saves and to help Central improve to 6-4-1 overall.
North Andover 2, Chelmsford 1
The Scarlet Knights got back into the win column behind single tallies from Megan Rozzi and Ava Magid, and an assist from Vanessa Mabley on Rozzi's goal.
Julianna Dunn made four saves in the first half and Emma Damour played the second half making five saves.
Volleyball
Greater Lowell 3, Greater Lawrence 1
Greater Lowell came away with the victory by scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-19 and 25-18. Playing well for the Reggies (8-6) were Eliana Villa with seven service points, two aces and four kills, Trinity Figueroa with four kills, and three blocks, Asmeily Anziani with ten assists and Ilaisha Taveras with 18 digs.
Shawsheen Tech 3, Whittier Tech 0
The Wildcats were swept by the undefeated Rams by scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-19.
Nashua South 3, Salem 2
In a back-and-forth five-set match, Saklem (9-3) was defeated by scores of 18-25, 25-16, 25-12, 17-25 and 15-13. Madi Mohan had a monster night with 25 kills and 5 digs, Mia Contarino added 17 digs and two aces, Riley Blanchet chipped in with 15 assists, two aces and six digs and Hannah Woodring finished with seven aces and ten digs.

The Hillies improved to 4-8 on the season with a convincing win over their Merrimack Valley Conference foes. Tommy Murphy was the low medalist with an even par-35, while he also won his match 2 Up.
Other winners were Pat McGowan (4&3), Jack Baker (2&1), Joe Simoneau (1 up), Tim Robertson (flat) and Alec Simoneau (2&1).
Four-Ball winners were Murphy and McGowan (2&1), Baker and Simoneau (2 Up) and Boyer and Robertson (2 Up).
Chelmsford 12, Methuen 8
Methuen winners were Ryan McKinnon (36), Zach Anderson (39) and Nick Andreottola (41).

In a quad meet held at Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry (par-36), the Owls won two of three matches and completed their regular season with a 13-12 record. The team's top five performers were Johnny Barbarossa (37), EJ Baker (39), Tyler Morin (40), Luke Lojko (42) and Connor Urnek (43).
Next up for Pinkerton will be the NHIAA State Championship, which will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at the Canterbury Woods Country Club.
Field Hockey
Andover 4, North Andover 0
Ella Sewall paced the offense with a pair of goals, while, Bella DiFiore dished out two assists to help the Golden Warriors come away with the shutout victory. Vivian Aloi and Caroline Vaughan had single goals, while, Scarlet Glass and Chloe Broderick added one assist each.
North Andover dips to 5-6-1 with the loss.
Central Catholic 3, Chelmsford 1
The Raiders remain unbeaten at 11-0-1 and 8-0 in the MVC with a hard-earned victory over the pesky Lions. Celinna Perham notched two goals, while Kerri Finneran had a goal and an assist. Franchesca Thurston and Liz Medford added one assist each. Goalie Ava Perrotta made three saves.
Tewksbury 3, Methuen 1
Ava Nartiff scored off an assist from Chloe Pickett as Methuen (5-7) fell to the Redmen. Eva Comeau played a strong game in the midfield and Sophia Barbosa had ten saves.
Exeter 5, Salem 1
Avery Aliberti scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils with an assist going to Lexi Whipple.
Pinkerton Academy 4, Concord 0
Hannah Lisauskas led the attack with two goals, while, teammates Jaelyn Crossman and Gwen Lee had one each to lead the Astros' offense. Molly Kuncik had one save for the shutout.

Andover 3, North Andover 0
The Golden Warriors (9-5) came away with the sweep with scores of 25-19, 25-10 and 25-5.
Megan Durant had the big game with 18 service points including six aces as well as five kills and two digs. Jessie Wang and Naomi Vajada finished with six and five kills each, while, Tina Zheng had 16 assists as the setter. Kate Hilson added two digs.
Chelmsford 3, Haverhill 0
The Hillies were swept (25-19, 25-15 and 25-10) despite strong play from Gabby Burdier with nine kills and nine digs and Olivia Lesswing with ten assists.
Central Catholic 3,
Methuen 1
Central improved to 9-4 with a 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 27-25 and 26-24) win over a strong Methuen team. Julie Hall was terrific with 23 kills, 32 digs and three aces. She was helped out by Madison Blanchet's 37 assists, Sydney Faria and Alexia Faria's combined 37 service points, and Dorie McNamara and Kate Galvin with two blocks each.
Billerica 3, Lawrence 0
The Indians remained unbeaten at 14-0 with the sweep. Santa De Leon had five kills and three service points, while, Rachelle Torres added nine assists and two aces. Josairi Vargas contributed with six digs.
Pinkerton Academy 3, Bishop Guertin 0
The Astros (26-24, 25-15 and 25-16) improved to 10-3 with the sweep. Lucy Denu had 17 assists and 10 service points and Kara Porter had 14 assists and 10 service points. Calli Miller had a big game with 15 digs, six kills, three aces and two blocks, while Maddie Andrade (14 kills), Izzy McIntyre (15 digs, six kills), Brooke Little (13 digs) and Aaliyah Gordon (6 kills, 3 blocks), all had solid games.
Girls Soccer
Haverhill 5, Greater Lowell 1
Aleigh Gonzalez and Makaylla Cederman provided all of the fireworks with all five goals. Gonzalez netted three and Cederman scored twice. Kaitlin Brownrigg chipped in with two helpers and Gonzalez, Mariana Sadek and Sierra Jepson had one each. Fran Purdy (10 saves) and Emmy Duran (2 saves) combined for the win.
Sadek and Grace Taylor played a great game as well.

Carmela Bellitti scored the lone goal on an assist from Soanii Hoskins, while, defenders Anahy Beltre and Jadliss Montero had strong games.
Nashoba Tech 2, Whittier Tech 0
The Wildcats couldn't get any offense going but goalie Cali Moore was strong in making 15 saves.
