Teen Mom Kailyn drops $475k on 20 acres of Delaware land to build dream mansion

TEEN Mom star Kailyn Lowry has dropped $475,000 on 20 acres of Delaware farmland to build a dream mansion just years after moving into her new home.

Kailyn, 32, announced in July she had purchased 20 acres of land in Delaware to build a new home after experiencing issues with her current abode.

Now, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal more details on the Teen Mom alum's dream home.

According to Delaware real estate records, Kailyn dropped $475,000 on 19.40 acres of vacant farmland in Smyrna, Delaware on July 12.

Building permits reveal Kailyn has yet to break ground or file plans for the new construction.

"I am closing on 20 acres of land today," Kailyn said in a TikTok video posted in July. "The plan right now is to build an eight-bedroom house somehow, someway.

"Last time that I bought land, we built in the same year," Kailyn explained of the home she lives in now with her fiance and seven children. "This one I think is going to take a little longer."

She continued, "I have big plans for this house. I'm understanding that I might not be in this house until 2026. Possibly even 2027."

She then revealed her plans for a first-floor master, extra wide hallways, a large garage and laundry on both levels.

Kailyn also wants to build a barn to match the home.

She explained in the TikTok video how she wants all of her children to have their own rooms.

The podcast host and owner said, "I think it's best that we move forward. I have a lot of different needs. We need more functionality.

"We need storage space. We need closet space. I want everyone to continue to have their own rooms.

"So with all that being said, we're going on the hunt for land and hope for the best."

In January 2022, the TV star moved her family into the $750,000 home she designed.

On an episode of her podcast Coffee Convos with co-host Lindsie Chrisley, Kailyn admitted she did not love the building process.

She explained how there were issues with the design, construction, delivery materials and other "weird little things."

"My house is supposed to be done in three weeks, and I promise you it won't be done until probably January or February, at this point," she explained.

"I am so far over my budget - over my loan amount. My out-of-pocket expense at this point is... I'm afraid."
