WALLA WALLA, Wash.- The Barkery is a bakery making custom "pupcakes" and treats for dogs in Walla Walla. Owner, Lucy Zamora said it all started when she started baking birthday cakes her dogs.
"In 2022 I started looking into a business," said Zamora. "I wanted to bring that to Walla Walla and help dog owners celebrate their dogs."
Zamora said a lot of the requests they receive are for birthday cakes but they make safe and yummy treats for all kinds of celebrations.
"For the frosting we use cream cheese and carob, which is a popular flavor that tastes like chocolate to dogs," said Zamora. For the doughnuts Zamora makes them grain-free using chickpea flour and applesauce.
Dog parents can place orders online. The Barkery serves the Walla Walla Valley and surrounding areas.
