OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - With Hurricane Milton finally making landfall as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday night, Central Florida is now bracing for direct impacts.
News 6 went to Kissimmee to scope out Milton's impacts as the hurricane continues to move toward the Atlantic across the state.
Milton's eye is expected to pass by Kissimmee early Thursday morning, though the area was already seeing plenty of wind and rain hours ahead of time.
As of Wednesday night, around 1,000 households in the area were left without power thanks to the heavy gusts, News 6 reporter Erik Sandoval explained.
