FLORENCE -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his iconic red and black No. 8 Chevrolet will be racing around Florence Motor Speedway Nov. 23 in the South Carolina 400.
Earnhardt drove the iconic red and black No. 8 Chevrolet for nearly a decade, according to a press release from JR Motorsports.
The design's return marks the start of a limited series of Late Model Stock Car races running this year and next, according to the press release.
From 1999-2007, Earnhardt and Budweiser were a pair that everyone associated with one another because of the iconic design.
"It is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to reunite with Budweiser, and the No. 8," Earnhardt said in a press release. "Budweiser and I had some great memories with that iconic scheme and number. We've always supported each other over the years. It's going to be really special for me to be able to represent that brand on the racetrack again."

Since his retirement from full-time NASCAR Cup Series competition after the 2017 season, Earnhardt has competed in Late Model Stock Car races at the Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville several times.

Florence Motor Speedway took to social media on Oct. 22 to express excitement for Earnhardt's return to the paint scheme and the Pee Dee facility.
"We are honored that Dale Jr. chose Florence Motor Speedway to return the iconic Budweiser #8," Florence Motor Speedway said in a Facebook post. "The car means so much to many and brings back great memories -- from four in a row at Talladega to 'It's Bristol Baby!'"
Anheuser-Busch -- Budweiser's parent company -- has long invested in the motorsports industry and looks forward to seeing this iconic duo back out on the track.

"There are names that when mentioned, draw on the significance of their place in American history. Among them, Budweiser, and Earnhardt," Matt Davis, vice-president of partnerships at Anheuser-Busch, said in the press release. "This return to the racetrack alongside Dale with the Bud King of Beers paint scheme is another chapter in Anheuser-Busch's long and storied sports history."
