LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - As families opened presents Christmas morning, one Lexington family set out to spread holiday cheer.
Oscar Miller, his wife and their son dressed up in Gingerbread costumes to greet people driving along Tates Creek Road.
Miller says their message to the community is simple: be happy this holiday season.
The family also enjoyed the response by those passing by.
"They're just saying Merry Christmas, waving at us, honking, saying thank you," said Miller. "Everybody's having a good time, you can tell everyone's blowing their horns. It's been really fun".
Miller says this is the first year the family has done this, but he says it's likely not the last time.
