Minecraft Player Creates Terrifying Base Inspired by Pokemon

Resident Evil 9 Introducing a New Protagonist Would Be a Double-Edged Sword

Key Takeaways

A Minecraft player built a terrifying Pokemon-inspired base, complete with Unown letters and Mew's sprite. The build features eerie designs, red tree-like Nether Wart structures, and a cozy interior. This may not be the last creepy creation shared by the Minecraft community due to ongoing updates.

A Minecraft player has created a terrifying base inspired by Pokemon's Unown and the ruins they typically reside in. Many Minecraft fans have shared impressive builds over the years, but this Pokemon one may be among the more unsettling.

Since Minecraft was released, players have been creating their own unique bases in Survival and Creative mode. While Survival mode requires the players to collect all the necessary resources on their own, Creative is a helpful sandbox full of any materials one may need to make their dream base. Minecraft fans have shared many incredible builds since the game was released, including a Rocket League arena, a massive crab, and a Dark Souls 3 tower. One player has decided to make a base dedicated to the bizarre alphabetic Pokemon species known as Unown.

Minecraft: How To Get Cherry Blossom Wood

Minecraft has a new beautiful pink wood that comes from Cherry Blossom Trees. Here is how to get it.

Reddit user Sushi-btw recently shared nine images of their Minecraft Unown base, highlighting it from different angles. The build is mostly red, black, and gray, with varying types of stone forming the darker portions of the area surrounding a central building. This building features eyeball designs at each entrance and on the top, making it seem like the player is being watched from every angle. With the presence of Pokemon's Unown, the location appears to be based on locations like the Ruins of Alph or the Unown dimension from the third Pokemon movie. Based on the Unown alphabet, the Pokemon on the wall spell out "sushi," the first part of this Reddit user's name. Between the Unown letters is Mew's sprite inside a bubble with its corresponding Pokedex number, 151.

This Pokemon-Inspired Minecraft Base Is Terrifying and Impressive

An aerial screenshot shows that the Unown-inspired base is in the middle of a large body of water which may have required some terraforming on Sushi-btw's part. Surrounding the building in the middle of this base are red tree-like structures created with Minecraft Nether Wart and Bone blocks. Nether Warts also sprout from Soul Sand surrounding the building, which contributes to the ominous tone of the creation. Despite the exterior of the central building appearing like a thing of nightmares, the Reddit user claims that the interior is cozier and is made up of red Mushroom blocks, Spruce Logs, and Dark Oak Planks. According to the gamer, their Unown base is 21x21 chunks, with chunks being composed of 16x16 blocks. To efficiently make this build, the gamer used WorldEdit, a mod that streamlines creating massive builds like this.

Minecraft

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art - the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!

Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you'd like! This is why it's sometimes called a "sandbox game" - there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you're feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.

Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
