LEBANON, Pa. (WKRC) - A mother was arrested for chaining her son to an oil tank while she was at work.
On Saturday, the Lebanon County Regional Police Department responded to a distressing incident involving an 11-year-old boy, according to the police report.
Officers were dispatched to East Kercher Avenue at approximately 9:55 p.m. after receiving reports of a juvenile male being restrained with handcuffs. Upon investigation, authorities discovered that the boy's mother, Chazzity Candelario, had used handcuffs to restrain him to an oil tank in the basement.
According to WGAL, Candelario told police "she has a hard time controlling her children while she's away at work."
Candelario was subsequently arrested and faced charges including endangering the welfare of a child, false imprisonment and unlawful restraint. She was being held in Lebanon County Prison with her bail set at $100,000.
