Christopher Gates has been the lead writer at The Daily Norseman since the site launched in July of 2006, covering the Minnesota Vikings day in and day out.
Five of the six games slated for this Super Wild Card Weekend are officially in the books, and now it's finally our turn. Tonight, the Minnesota Vikings will take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to determine the final participant in the Divisional Round. We want everyone to be able to keep track of all of tonight's action, so here's everything you need in one place.
Kickoff for this one is slated for 7:00 PM Central on Monday night, and the game will be aired on ABC, which is KSTP-5 in the Twin Cities, as well as on ESPN. No map necessary for this one, as it's literally the only game in town this evening.
For our men and women in uniform serving overseas, the American Forces Network will be showing this one LIVE on AFN Sports. As we always tell you when the Vikings play in prime time, prepare to either get up early or stay up late for this one. Kickoff is slated for 0100Z, which is 0200L on Tuesday morning for everyone in Central Europe, 0400L on Tuesday morning for those on Arabian time, and 1000L on Tuesday morning for fans in Japan and Korea.
If you have a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area, most of them will probably be carrying the game. We've provided you with the full list of affiliates for this season, so use our page to find the affiliate nearest to you.
Those of you who will use satellite radio to listen to this one can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 226. You can listen to the Rams feed on Channel 225 if you feel compelled. On top of that, there's SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88, for the Westwood One feed. If you use the SiriusXM app, the Vikings' permanent home is on Channel 820.
According to the folks who run Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this week's game is led by John Hussey. The Vikings saw Hussey's crew relatively recently, as his regular season crew handled the Vikings' "Winter Whiteout" game at U.S. Bank Stadium when they defeated the Chicago Bears, 30-12. It's worth noting, however, that officiating crews change during the playoffs.
With the game being moved to Glendale, Arizona because of the California wildfires, the weather won't play a role in tonight's game because State Farm Stadium is an indoor venue. If you're one of the many Vikings fans who will be making the trip, the weather should be pretty nice according to our friends at WeatherNation. Temperatures at kickoff will be in the mid-50s with some very light winds.
According to our friends at FanDuel, the betting line has wavered a bit throughout the week, owing at least in part to the venue change. Right now, the Vikings are a 2.5-point favorite, and the over/under currently rests at 47.5 points.
The game is on ESPN+. That's a streaming service. There's your stream.
I'll say the same thing about illegal streams that I always say: don't. Or damn sure don't go advertising them here. You'll be banned, and that will be the end of it.
We will once again be bringing you a post-game show courtesy of Vikings Report. We obviously can't give you an exact time for the show to start, but we will be on the air within a few minutes of the final gun, and we hope that you come and join us.
In addition, we will also be going LIVE before the game to preview tonight's matchup. We will likely be starting the stream sometime around 5:30 PM Central, though if we adjust that time we'll update this post.
That should be everything you need in order to keep up with the action on the final night of Super Wild Card Weekend from State Farm Stadium from U.S. Bank Stadium between the Los Angeles Rams and our Minnesota Vikings. We'll have our first discussion thread of the day dropping about thirty minutes before game time, around 6:30 PM Central, and we hope that you'll join us for it.
