PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Gov. Dan McKee is expected to explain options for those looking to enroll or stay connected to health coverage during HealthSource RI (HSRI)'s open enrollment amid the data breach.
McKee will be joined by HSRI Director Lindsay Lang and other members of his administration on Tuesday during a 1:30 p.m. briefing.
12 News plans to stream the briefing live right here on WPRI.com.
Earlier this month, McKee announced the state's online portal for social services was hacked by cybercriminals, potentially jeopardizing the private data of hundreds of thousands of residents.
Lang previously told 12 News that existing 2024 coverage is not affected by the breach, so customers can still access their health insurance for appointments and prescriptions.
According to the state, HSRI payments are processed through a different vendor in a system separate from RIBridges, so automatic payment drafts will be processed as usual.
