JD Vance: 'We're going to win, and I feel 100% confident about that'

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) -- On Saturday night, former President Donald Trump's running mate JD Vance took the stage alongside well-known media personality Tucker Carlson during his stop in Hershey for the Tucker Carlson Live tour.

This event follows a petition that was initiated months ago to prevent Carlson from having the event in Hershey, but it didn't keep him away. On Saturday thousands of supporters from all corners of the state lined up right outside of the Giant Center anticipating what the discussion of JD Vance and Tucker Carlson would sound like, but one thing did become clear in conversations with the crowd.

"I'd like to hear a little bit more about the closing of the border, sending some of the illegals especially the criminals back," said Springfield resident Gary McGrath.

"Just a patriotic and rivaling speech and seeing Tucker I've been a fan for years," said Springfield resident Judy Jackson.

"I just think the way things are with inflation and the border crisis there's too many things like that going on and I think change is necessary," said Kentucky resident Robert Bradley.

JD Vance did touch on inflation pointing fingers at the current leaders as the ones responsible for higher rates.

"Our leadership has turned the American people into poppers in their country. They're not going to own anything. God forbid no way you're going to own a house because the leaders have made it way too expensive to buy a house plus the interest rates are too high," said JD Vance.

The American politician also touched on two other big issues.

"Their basic argument is let's flood the United States with billions upon millions of foreign laborers because that's good for business, and there are those of us who are saying is it actually good for social cohesion and good for workers. So we're not going to accept that," said JD Vance.

The third issue JD Vance brought up was foreign policies.

"Do you think that the United States should ship its entire industrial base to foreign candidates some of which pay us and if you think that's insane like I do then you're going to vote for Donald Trump," said JD Vance.

And with Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris going face to face in the November election just 44 days away, here's where JD Vance said the Republican party currently stands.

"Where we are is we're going to win, and I feel 100% confident about that," said Vance.

And JD Vance plans to deliver remarks in Macon, Georgia for the first time, Thursday. Carlson plans to continue his live tour, his next stop in Pennsylvania will be in Reading at the Santander Arena, on Monday, September 23rd.
