It's the most wonderful time of the year and one very popular event that makes its way through the US and Minnesota each year is the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.
The train is all decked out in festive lights and decorations. Plus, at each stop, they have special music performances.
If your family loves to go or maybe you want to check it out for the first time, start making your plans, because the holiday train is coming through Minnesota next week!

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train started back in 1999. Each year, they collect donations for community food banks in the US and Canada where the train passes through.
Since 1999, they have "raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food" for people in need.
At each stop during the holiday season, the Holiday Train collects "monetary or heart-healthy" food donations for a local food bank at that stop. So if your family goes to check out the Holiday Train this year, don't forget to bring your donation.
Starting next week the holiday train will be making its stops in Minnesota. It has gotten really cold really quick, though, so what's the weather looking like for these festivities?
Well, the train starts in southeast Minnesota, where the weather right now should be a high of about 28 and mostly cloudy.
Then they head to the east-central part of the state where we should be sitting at about a high of 26 and mostly cloudy when the train will be there.
And finally, the train will make some stops in northern Minnesota where the high should be around 20 and mostly cloudy.
So across the board, the weather should be cooperative for going out to see the train! Not too cold and no gross slush.
