Grunloh Construction announces leadership changes

Grunloh Construction Inc., a leading commercial general contractor in central Illinois, announced a transition in leadership that positions the company for continued growth.

Founded in 1949 by Clifford Grunloh in Effingham, Clifford's sons later led the business until Tom Grunloh purchased the company and became president in February 2005. Now, after two decades of leadership, Tom has appointed Marty Fearday as the new president of Grunloh Construction, while Tom transitions to the CEO position within the company. He will still remain active and involved within Grunloh Construction.

Marty Fearday has been with the company since 2005, when Tom recognized his potential and hired him on the spot. Over the last 20 years, Marty has played a key role in the company's growth and reputation for excellence. His drive to elevate standards year after year is evident in the scale and quality of the projects Grunloh Construction has delivered. A native of Teutopolis, Marty now lives in Watson with his wife, Jenny. Together, they have raised four children: Tyler, Carsyn, Nolan and Kyndal.

Joining Marty on the leadership team is Troy Ozenkoski, who has been promoted to senior vice president. Troy has been with GCI since 2013 and brings unmatched dedication and work ethic to the company. His leadership, attention to detail and passion for excellence are reflected in Grunloh Construction's continued strong reputation. Troy is also from Teutopolis, where he resides with his wife, Charity. They are the parents of four children: Brooke, Lauren, Seth and Derek.

Carissa Snow was named secretary/treasurer of the corporation in October 2023. Carissa has served as the company's accountant since 2016, playing a vital role in the financial health and management of the business. She resides in Sigel with her husband, Andrew, and their three sons: J.D., Decker and Cavan.
