KATY'S TOP BREAKFAST SPOT: We asked Katy readers to share their go-to breakfast spot. Here's what they said.

The lifestyle center coming to northwest Katy recently added Shipley Do-Nuts, Smoothie King, Akashi Sushi, Deca Dental, First Watch, Chipotle, Dave's Hot Chicken, Tune Up The Manly Salon and a veterinarian group its list of businesses, according to head of leasing Kris Bender.

"Elyson Town Center is growing in its visibility and will be a great addition to the overall Elyson community," Bender said.

The project will span 17 acres and will consist of 11 buildings totaling 300,000 square feet, Bender said. Realty1 Partners has already started construction on 190,000 square feet of retail businesses, 30,000 square feet of office space and 80,000 square feet of apartments. The development will also have parks and green space.

Realty1 purchased the land at the end of last year from Brookfield Properties and started site work in late spring, Bender said.

"This development is something that's very much needed, especially in this growing part of Katy," she added. "I think people will be very happy with the brands we'll offer."
