CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - A fire damaged a house and a garage late Saturday night in Concord, according to the Concord Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the home on Lee Court SW at 11 p.m.
Fire apparatus and personnel were on scene within four minutes and found fire coming from an attached garage and extending into the home.
Firefighters controlled the fire within eight minutes of arrival. One resident was home at the time but was safely able to exit the house and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Concord Fire Marshal's Office.
In total, the department said four Engine Companies, one Ladder Company, one Rescue Company, three Battalion Chiefs, one Safety Officer and one fire investigator responded with a total of 27 firefighters. The Concord Fire Department was assisted by Cabarrus County EMS and City of Concord Electric Systems.
