The Institute of Clinical Medicine (Klinmed) is one of three institutes under the Faculty. Klinmed is responsible for the Faculty's educational and research activities at Oslo University Hospital and Akershus University Hospital. With about 800 employees spread over approximately 425 man-labour years, Klinmed is the university's largest institute. Our activities follow the clinical activity at the hospitals and are spread across a number of geographical areas.
A part time position as scientist (20%) (one year) is open in the Experimental Cancer Immunotherapy Group lead by Johanna Olweus, MD, PhD, at Dept. of Cancer Immunology, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital Radiumhospitalet and Institute for Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo.
The project that the scientist will be working on in the group of Olweus involves development of new T-cell based immunotherapies, specifically single-cell T-cell receptor sequencing, cloning and T-cell receptor synthesis, as well as analysis of sequencing data.
Olweus is Head of the Dept. of Cancer Immunology at Oslo University Hospital Radiumhospitalet and leads a research group in the department and holds a position as Professor at the University of Oslo (UiO). The main focus of the research group of Olweus is to develop novel T-cell receptor-based cancer immunotherapies and new technologies for target and TCR identification, and to couple clinical immunotherapy trials with penetrating mechanistic analyses. The research is performed in an interdisciplinary and translational program. The research team is highly international and conducts research in close collaboration with world-leading international collaborators at institutions such as Netherlands Cancer Institute and Karolinska Institutet.
