GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Coroner's Office said they have identified a passenger who died following a car crash where they were not wearing a seat belt.
The coroner reports Greer City Police responded to Country Club Road near Burnett Drive in Greer on Saturday around 9 p.m. in response to a motor vehicle collision.
A Chevrolet Express 3500 van was traveling east on Country Club Road when it veered off the road and hit a tree, killing a front seat passenger on the scene, the coroner said.
The coroner reported the passenger had not been wearing a seat belt.
The coroner identified the victim as 18-year-old Carla Milla-Milla from Greer and revealed her cause of death was due to multiple blunt force injuries.
Information has not yet been released regarding the condition of the driver or the cause of the collision.
