Man charged with reckless endangerment after injuring 3 others in Old Hickory Blvd. crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been charged after seriously injuring three others in a crash, according to an arrest affidavit.

The affidavit said Samuel Ramirez-Camacho has been charged with reckless endangerment with a motor vehicle and aggravated assault.

Officers responded to the crash on Old Hickory Boulevard on Friday at approximately 2:32 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly found three vehicles with heavy damage including a Honda CRV, a Chevy Silverado and a Ford F250.

The driver of the Honda was transported to Skyline Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the F250, were transported with minor injuries.

Ramirez-Camacho, who was reportedly driving the Silverado, and was also transported with minor injuries.

The investigation showed that the Honda was attempting to pull out of a parking lot and make a left turn on Old Hickory Blvd. as the Silverado was traveling west at a high rate of speed. The truck then stuck the Honda.

The Ford was reportedly struck from behind and pushed forward causing it to leave the roadway, hit a utility pole and a brick sign. It continued into another parking lot striking two other parked vehicles.

Witnesses at the scene told police that the Silverado seemed to be traveling over 100 mile per hour. The affidavit said the truck's speedometer was stopped at 75 mph.

The speed limit in that section of Old Hickory Blvd. is 45 mph.
