On Saturday, the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes will welcome the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers to Columbus for a highly-anticipated top-5 matchup with major College Football Playoff implications.
This Big Ten matchup between the 9-1 Buckeyes and 10-0 Hoosiers deserves to be played under the lights in primetime. Instead, it's set for a noon EST kickoff at Ohio Stadium.
Ohio State vs. Indiana will kickoff at noon EST due to Fox Sports' "Big Noon Kickoff" decision. The show will set up shop in Columbus on Saturday, and fans aren't happy about it.
Some Ohio State fans are going as far as to push for a boycott of the Fox Sports program.
"Attention OSU fan, boycott the Big noon tailgate," one fan wrote.
"And boycott Fox Big Noon. If not wasnt for them, this would be a night game," another added.
"EVERYONE who will be there go to Gameday and NOT Big Noon. Boycott those bums," another said.
"Boycott Big Noon. Boycott fox. Pirate the game so fox doesn't get ratings," another wrote.
If Ohio State fans do in fact decide to boycott "Big Noon Kickoff," they'll have another pregame option in Columbus. After this past weekend's trip to Athens for Tennessee vs. Georgia, ESPN announced that "College GameDay" will travel to The Shoe for Saturday's matchup against Indiana.
Earlier this year, Penn State fans came to a similar conclusion about "Big Noon Kickoff." Many Nittany Lions supporters called for a similar Fox Sports boycott when this year's Ohio State matchup was forced into a noon kickoff at Beaver Stadium. "College GameDay" was also in town for that highly-anticipated Big Ten contest.
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are favored by 10.5 points over the Curt Cignetti and the undefeated Hoosiers this weekend.
