It's almost impossible to avoid the city's enthusiasm for Taylor Swift's arrival this weekend. Already, bars have added themed cocktails to their menus. Even the road signs are quoting the star's music, reminding drivers to "shake it off," -- not including their seatbelts.
With only a couple days left, it's time to prepare for one of the city's most anticipated events of the year. Here are some things to think about ahead of the show:
1. Taylor Swift-themed events are everywhere, so make a list of your top spots
There are more than enough ways to spend your day before seeing the concert. That's why it's important to prioritize the activities that look most interesting. There's kitten yoga at the Hotel Kimpton Fontenot, a pop-up makeup bar at the Waldorf Astoria Spa and friendship bracelet making stations at Hotel Monteleone. With limited time and transportation options, making a schedule ahead of time is paramount to having a stress-free experience.

2. The setlist is over three hours long
This isn't a normal concert. And it shouldn't be. Taylor Swift's setlist is extensive and diverse, since she plays songs from all eleven of her albums.
You should prepare for a long night by fueling up before her performance and anticipating long lines to get in and out of the Superdome. During Swift's arrival, approximately 150,000 more people will be in town.
Pack snacks and if you're drinking before the concert, remember to pace yourself.
You'll be doing a lot of standing, so pick comfortable shoes, even if they don't go perfectly with your outfit.
3. There will be no 'Taylor-gating'
If you were planning on crowding outside the stadium, you'll need to find an alternative.
New Orleans officials said there would be no public access to Champion's Square on concert days. The venue will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on days leading up to her performance, though.
4. Pack a clear bag
Like any other stadium, the Superdome follows the NFL clear bag policy. This means you cannot bring a bag in unless it's clear, or a clutch bag that is no larger than 4.5" by 6.5". Clear bags that do not exceed 12" by 6" by 12" are permitted.

5. Reserve parking or a ride before
To avoid unnecessary traffic, fans can pre-schedule parking at the Superdome. Their two lots are located on Dave Dixon Drive and Sugar Bowl Drive. Parking for the whole concert will cost about $50.
If you can, schedule your rideshare beforehand, and know their pickup and drop-off location is at Duncan Plaza, a block away from the stadium. While you're waiting, you can check out the Embrace the Culture Festival, celebrating the Crescent City's diverse arts and culture.
