The College Football Playoff selection committee released its first rankings of the year on Tuesday night. ESPN's Booger McFarland named one team he thinks is the most disrespected in early November.
No. 1 Oregon, No. 4 Miami, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 BYU and No. 18 Army are currently five undefeated teams in the Top 25.
McFarland thinks one of the more surprising teams in 2024 hasn't been given enough credit after the first ten weeks of the season.
"I think Indiana's the most disrespected team in the country," McFarland said on ESPN's broadcast Tuesday night. "Undefeated Big Ten team."
Indiana is 9-0 in head coach Curt Cignetti's first season with the program entering Week 11. The Hoosiers' offense has been one of the best in the nation, averaging scoring the second most points per game (46.6).
The high-octane offense has been part of the reason Indiana has blown out several opponents, including earning a 56-7 win over Nebraska at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 19.
Indiana has yet to defeat a Top 25 team this season. They will host Michigan on Saturday before having a bye week. The Hoosiers will then travel to play No. 3 Ohio State on Nov. 23. Indiana will finish their regular season schedule against rival Purdue on Nov. 30.
