Thursday evening the Old Place in Gautier was transformed into the hosting grounds for Savor Jackson County Food and Wine Festival, bringing in restaurants and businesses from all across South Mississippi to show off their best culinary creations.
From fresh seafood, to Mexican food, to locally distilled rum, it was a showcase of some of the best that the coast has to offer. There was a little bit of competitive spirit in the air as well as attendees were voting for the best vendor, who would be crowned the champion at the end of the night.
WXXV News 25's Marco Bitonel was in Gautier and had the opportunity to try out some of these bites to eat, and gave his thoughts on what the festival had to offer.
