DETROIT - One of the tallest buildings in Michigan is decked out in Honolulu blue for the first time to support the Detroit Lions playoff run.
The Hudson's Detroit Tower was illuminated in Lions colors at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, about an hour before kickoff of the playoff game between Detroit and Washington at Ford Field.
The Hudson's Detroit Tower is the largest ground-up development in the last 50 years in Detroit. At 681-feet high, it's second in height in Michigan to the Renaissance Center, which is 727 feet.
When complete, the development will bring more than 1.5 million square feet of new retail, office, dining, hospitality, residential and event amenities to the 1200 Woodward Avenue block.
The upper floors of the tower will be home to close to 100 residential units. There will also be a 5-star hotel featuring more than 200 luxury rooms.
