Detroit Red Wings game today vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Time, TV channel, streaming

Start to finish, this hasn't been the season that the Red Wings hoped for coming into the year. They've lost in both low and high scoring games, but have really struggled to win close ones.

Last time they were on the ice, they did just that, coming from behind in the third period to force overtime against the Buffalo Sabres and then winning in a shootout for the much-needed two points.

Since then, the Wings have talked about how winning in that way should provide a confidence boost and show them that they can win in different fashions.

That'll be put to the test Thursday when the Wing travel to Philadelphia to face the Flyers.

After picking up his first win while coming in relief to help the Wings beat the Sabres last time out, goaltender of the future, Sebastian Cossa, has been sent back to the Grand Rapids Griffins now that Cam Talbot is healthy and ready to roll again. Talbot is expected to start against the Flyers.

The Wings' goalies have been injury-prone this year, so it may not be the last time we see Cossa this year.

After playing the Flyers on Thursday, the Wings will host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Little Caesars Arena.
