Safari autocomplete in URL bar

Safari autocomplete in URL bar

You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly.

You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Not sure if this is an iPad problem exclusively, but,.. I'm using Safari on an iPad Pro 13 with iPadOS 18.2.1

I want to visit the US English site for aliexpress.com, but I can't.

I clicked an ad on DuckDuckGo that took me to the Netherlands site at nl.aliexpress.com Now no matter what I type in the URL bar, it always changes to nl.alixpress.com. If I click on a link to the US alixpress web site, it automatically changes it to nl.alixpress. if I type out the full -https://www.alixpress.com- it still takes me to nl.alixpress.com

Is there some way to remove nl.alixpress from the function that autocompletes URLs so I can go to the correct URL? I looked around and can't seem to find it.. (PS I'm not using a VPN).

Thanks in advance.
