"We can mimic whether they have pneumonia. We can mimic whether they have asthma." Designed to replicate a real-world clinical setting, the simulation lab gives nursing students hands-on training and an opportunity to watch their skills back and learn from their mistakes. "We have cameras above each bed so that students can actually record their own skills that they're doing," Scott said. "Here, they're having to learn those skills without that person telling them, 'Oh no, you can't do that' or 'You can do that.' Metro Tech officials said the new technology will help expand their ability to train tomorrow's health care heroes.
