BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Former WKU Hilltopper volleyball star Paige Briggs sat down with us recently to fill us in on how life for her has been since leaving the hill and since making her debut for Athletes Unlimited pro volleyball.
In her time at WKU, Briggs's career was full of broken records and awards, capturing the program record for most aces in a match with 10 and breaking an NCAA record most kills in a match at 35.
In December, Briggs was drafted 5th overall in the Pro Volleyball Federation draft. After notching a championship title for the Omaha Supernovas, she now plays for the Grand Rapids Rise where she is still adjusting to life as a pro.
"I learned a lot of who I was in college, but who I want to be as an adult, as an outside of the college scene and it's on me," Briggs said. "It's on me to work out. It's on me to, to eat healthy and all this stuff. I don't have someone micromanaging me like I had in college. It's so cool, this is such an amazing opportunity to play professional volleyball."
