AMES -- Iowa State ranks No. 17 in the week 11 AP Poll.

Voters dropped Iowa State six spots after a 23-22 loss against Texas Tech. It's the third consecutive week the Cyclones have fallen in the poll, dating back to a comeback win against UCF.

Tuesday, the College Football Playoff committee will release its first CFP rankings.

The Cyclones sit tied with No. 21 Colorado for second in the Big 12 standings. Both teams are 4-1 in conference play. No. 9 BYU leads the Big 12 with a 5-0 conference record.
