All North Little Rock city employees and elected officials will receive raises going into 2025.
During two meetings throughout December, City Council members approved two resolutions and one ordinance amidst the city's adoption of the 2025 budget, which allowed for the salary increases.
Chief Financial Officer Ember Strange said that the salary increases were made possible because of higher-than-projected revenue coming in from property taxes and the 2023 sales tax capital improvement fund suggesting the city will end 2025 "above budget."
According to the 2025 budget approved by City Council members on Dec. 9, city staff anticipates generating just over $11.247 million from the 2023 sales tax revenue -- up from the $10.683 million received so far this year -- and $9.555
