Culver's is bringing back the CurderBurger again -- with an added twist

When it debuted in 2021, the CurderBurger brought a single-day sales record to 20% of Culver's locations.

So it's not a surprise that the novelty item is returning for the fourth time this fall for a limited run.

The burger, topped with a fried cheese curd "crown" made of yellow and white cheddar cheese curds surrounded by seasoned breadcrumbs, originally was a joke teased on April Fools' Day in 2021, but a tidal wave of guest demand led Culver's to make the joke a reality on National Cheese Curd Day (Oct. 15) that year.

Last year, the Prairie du Sac-based fast-food chain sold them for the month of October.

This year, the CurderBurger will be available Oct. 1-14, and Culver's then will offer the added twist of debuting Hot Honey Cheese Curds Oct. 15-31.

"At Culver's, October means Wisconsin Cheese Curds -- and this year, we wanted to bring our guests the best celebration of curds yet," Julie Fussner, chief marketing officer at Culver's, said in a statement. "We've championed cheese curds for decades, and we're always looking for ways to deliver uniquely delicious curd experiences to our guests. We can't wait to see everyone's response to the new Hot Honey Cheese Curds and the continued love for the CurderBurger throughout the month."
