Fans will have an easier time watching more Minnesota Gophers men's hockey games this season.
Friday afternoon, just hours before the start of the new Gophers season, the program announced an expanded partnership with local broadcaster Fox 9.
The deal will put 20 games on over-the-air TV, with six others set to be carried by Big Ten Network and one of FS1. The locally aired games will also feature pre- and post-game shows, sometimes on the station's main channel, Fox 9, and other times on the secondary channel, Fox 9+.

"Gopher hockey has a rich and proud tradition here in the State of Hockey," Marian Davey, the senior vice president and general manager of Fox 9, said. "It's our honor to air 20 games this season for the passionate fans as the Maroon and Gold drive for another championship."
Minnesota's 2024-25 season gets underway Friday night in the 2024 Ice Breaker Tournament in Las Vegas. Puck drop against Air Force is set for 9:30 p.m. The Gophers will also play at the same time on Saturday night against either UMass or Omaha.
