Netgear Unveils Nighthawk M3 Mobile Hotspot Router With 5G Speeds

These days few of us can manage daily life without fast and stable internet access for everything from watching movies, streaming music or working from home. Even when we are traveling, a secure internet connection is essential, especially for work where using insecure hotspots in cafés and hotels could compromise confidential data

For people who need broadband speeds on the move, the new NETGEAR Nighthawk M3 Mobile Hotspot Router (MH3150). This latest mobile Wi-Fi hotspot is aimed at the growing need for accessible and powerful Wi-Fi with advanced security features that can be used to access the Internet anywhere and at any time.

Ever since Netgear launched the world's first unlocked 5G mobile router, the company has continued to lead this market by improving its on-the-go connectivity products. The Nighthawk M3 is the latest version and delivers speeds up to 2.5 Gbps over 5G with the capacity to reach a maximum aggregated Wi-Fi speed of up to 3.6Gbps. The M3 also has an in-home performance mode which can boost Wi-Fi coverage up to areas of 1,000 square feet when the device is being used without its battery.

Like Netgear's Nighthawk M6, the M3 is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon SDX62 Mobile Platform. Featuring dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz AX3600 Wi-Fi 6, users can access fast file transfer speeds as well as high-end video streaming on up to 32 client devices. The M3 router comes with a powerful 5185mAh battery which can power the router for up to 13 hours on a single charge.

The M3 can supply internet access for work, streaming and gaming in almost any environment by providing a portable and private Wi-Fi connection so you don't have to use insecure public Wi-Fi. The device also makes for an ideal backup Internet service in the home or office, should the fixed-line broadband fail.

"NETGEAR continues its commitment to making high-performance connectivity more accessible. With the launch of the Nighthawk M3 router, we're delivering even more value -- offering improved performance at a more competitive price point," says David Henry, president and GM of Connected Home Products and Services at Netgear. "We have tapped into more than 25 years of wireless expertise to design this mobile router which combines 5G and Wi-Fi 6 to enhance connectivity for business workers, travelers and digital nomads."

Like other products in the Nighthawk range, the M3 is easy to set up and use, plus it's compact and easy to carry. Via the M3's color display, users can monitor data usage and check the Wi-Fi name/password. The screen also shows mobile signal strength and can be used to oversee device and network settings.

The M3's two USB-C ports make it easy to connect and distribute fast internet speeds to wired devices and with support for an Ethernet dongle, users can share 5G access with multiple wired devices simultaneously when the feature comes on stream in Q1 of 2025). The 5G signal can also be boosted by the use of external 5G antennas which are sold separately, enabling better reception in buildings or fringe reception areas.
