Greg Gutfeld Rips Media on Biden Decline: 'Truth Took a Backseat' for the 'Biggest Lie'

It's no secret that the regime media committed to selling the lie that President Joe Biden was fit to serve as president of the United States, and they certainly hoped their viewers would buy it. On Thursday night's episode of Gutfeld!, Fox host Greg Gutfeld ripped into the media for their blatant coverup of Biden's decline.

Due to peer pressure, "the truth took a backseat," he said. "They told the biggest lie in the history of presidential politics. Joe Biden is fit to serve. Yeah, to serve what? Carrots to his imaginary pet bunny?"

Gutfeld first presented a newly released Gallup poll that showed Biden with the lowest rating of any president in the last 65 years, besides Richard Nixon. He added that "when you rate Biden the worst since Nixon, you're saying he's the worst ever, because pollsters only ask about presidents that people have lived under going back to Kennedy."

Even though the media panicked and seemingly received a cold dose of reality following Biden's disastrous debate, Gutfeld rightly insisted that "they can't make us forget how many times they lied for him." Old habits die hard, though, and the media reverted to their former ways, continuing to cover up Biden's more unfortunate moments, like the time he thoughtlessly announced the "one piece of good news" in the midst of the devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires: the birth of his great grandson.

"I guess we can be grateful he didn't ask Jimmy Carter to stand up at the eulogy," the Fox host joked, wondering "where was the media before all this, when it was obvious Biden was 25th Amendment material?"

Gutfeld had his answer in a statement from former NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams who "said nothing yet calls people out for saying nothing." Williams stated that the media's coverage was "a gross disservice to those watching and listening because it doesn't match what they just saw or heard for themselves," though Gutfeld immediately pointed out the irony and his hypocrisy:

"Brian could have spoken up at any point in the past four years. Why didn't he? It's the same reason the rest of them didn't speak up. They all knew Biden's brain was rancid applesauce, but they also knew if they said anything...their peers wouldn't like them," he scoffed.

The simple explanation for the phenomenon, as Gutfeld proved, was the cowardice of those in the media. Moreover, he showed how the corruption extended to Hollywood and "suddenly brave" comedians like Jim Gaffigan and Whitney Cummings, who spoke out about the apparent pressure they experienced from "people" warning them about criticizing Democrat politicians.

Clearly not buying their foolishness, the Fox host pondered where that pressure originated from and concluded that "they stayed in line because their agents, managers and their own wallets told them to. And also their peers. They were scared of upsetting people they wanted to impress."

Of course, as Gutfeld demonstrated, the media's lies "only ended up costing them an election and the public's goodwill," but it appears they will perhaps never learn their lesson.
