The regular biennial state legislative session beginning this week looks to be routine caretaking. That means the orgy of conservatism to reverse the culture will continue, though less wildly.
They have the privatization of education set up. They have enhanced incarceration on the books. Now the main job is to execute and maintain on all that, and to warn against "woke."
There's not much to be done on school vouchers except devote most of the new money to paying private-school parents and home-school parents who previously paid for themselves. There might be a bill to say you can't use your voucher for horse-riding class.
There's not much to be done legislatively on the big Franklin County prison. That massive bill can be deferred while construction particulars get developed.
