INDIANAPOLIS -- Two teams attempting to stay in the playoff conversation meet up on Sunday afternoon in America's heartland, as the Indianapolis Colts get set to host the Miami Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins (2-3) vs. Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
While their sophomore quarterback, Anthony Richardson, has been banged up, the Colts have relied on the wily veteran Joe Flacco to keep the team afloat. Along with playing well to help the team beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4, he did enough to push Indianapolis to a 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. With how the offense has performed with the former Super Bowl champion at the helm, it only makes sense for the team to ride with Flacco as long as he continues to play well.
The Colts are second in the AFC South, two games back of the Houston Texans for first place.
Miami is coming off its bye week, which followed up a win over the New England Patriots two weeks ago. It surely wasn't an impressive win, as the Dolphins reached the endzone just once in a 15-10 win in Week 5. Yet, it was enough to put an end to their three-game losing streak. With Tua Tagovailoa still out for at least one more week, Tyler Huntley and the offense need to find a way to score more than 20 points for the first time in a month.
The Dolphins are 1.5 games back of the Buffalo Bills for first in the AFC East.
This will be the 77th meeting between the two teams, with the Dolphins leading the Colts, 48-28.
