Blue skies, no rain

Blue skies, no rain

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - High pressure will continue to dominate our weather pattern over the next few days with no rain chances in the forecast. Monday will start cool in the 50s, then warm to the mid 80s under sunny skies.

Tonight, will again be clear and cool, lows in the lower 50s.

The clear sky forecast should be useful for viewing the peak of the Orionids meteor shower, which is at its best tonight and tomorrow night. At peak, you could see around 20 meteors per hour in a dark spot, looking in any direction.

As for the tropics, all we have left out there is Tropical Storm Oscar, which is no threat to us.

Over the next few days, moisture levels will gradually increase, but this won't translate to any chance of rain.

In the extended, we can almost see out to Halloween, but in the meantime, nice, dry, and warm days are in store.
