NFL World Reacts To Chiefs-Chargers 'Doink' Ending

The Kansas City Chiefs won their third straight game and their 12th of the season on Sunday, thanks to a walk-off field goal from kicker Matthew Wright. What made the play even better, however, was it ended up as a lucky doink.

With the Chargers leading 17-16 and the Chiefs at 31 yards out with an opportunity to win with no time left, Wright kicked the ball and sent it to the left side. It certainly looked like the ball was going to miss the goal post, but in a stroke of luck, it instead hit the uprights and went in for the 19-17 Kansas City victory.

As a result, the Chiefs improved to a 12-1 record and secured the AFC West division title for the ninth straight season.

The NFL shared a video of the play and captioned it, "A DOINK FOR THE DIVISION! IT'S GOOD! @CHIEFS WIN!"

Comments quickly flooded the post, with many fans offering their thoughts on the play. A prevalent sentiment among them was that the Chiefs might be benefiting from an unusual amount of luck-or perhaps some sort of magic.

For those unfamiliar, Sunday's win marks the third straight game in which Patrick Mahomes and Co. have won by three points or less. In Week 12, a 31-yard field goal by Spencer Shrader gave Kansas City a 30-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Then, in Week 13, a turnover by the Las Vegas Raiders sealed a 19-17 win for the Chiefs.

"Are the Chiefs the luckiest team of the year," a fan commented. Another one said, "This team is clearly ordained by God and rooting against them at this point is ignoring His word."

"So lucky," a poster further stated.

Another commenter chimed in, "They are the luckiest team EVER!!!"

A fifth follower shared, "The voodoo magic will never end." A social media user added, "Starting to think the black magic thing might be real."

Regardless if it's luck or not, the Chiefs will take the win any day. They are on a mission to win a Super Bowl three-peat, and every victory gets them closer to that goal.
